My New Hobby

Adam's cousin is having triplets (bless you, Karrie)and one is a girl! Karrie already has an adorable daughter, Hannah, who seems to be the kind of girl that would want a tutu. His other cousin just found out that she is having a girl after having 2 boys (yay for Kenzie), so I decided to make everyone tutu's. (Thanks for the inspiration, Cheer) It has been so much fun! Gracie had fun modeling the tutu for Hannah and baby Clara. My next job is to make one for Kenzie's baby and hopefully one for baby Mayzie, too.

Baby Clara's pink and brown tutu with matching headband and bow.

Hannah's pink tutu with matching bow.

Grace is way cuter than the mini tutu!

Good job sitting, Butterfly!

Anyone want to squeeze and kiss those adorable cheeks?

I love having some free time away from managing 5 apartment complexes!!!!

Snow n Stuff

Grant was so excited when it snowed here in Utah! He wanted to go out and play so he could "build a snowman" and Papa was kind enough to oblige. They weren't really able to build a snowman but they did create a great pile of snow which Grant climbed on and pretended to be a snow leopard.

Grant has also been lucky enough to go over the Grandma and Grandpa B's every night to play with them, Unlce Scotty, Bruno and Cheetah! We were even able to enjoy a special treat from Grandpa and Grandma Great when they took us to Red Robin. Mmmmm, yummy! The other day, Grant and I went on a "date". We went to the Draper Temple open house. It was BEAUTIFUL! Grant was so great, too! Hopefully, he will remember what he saw and what I talked to him about. I am so thankful for the gospel and for the knowledge that we can be family for eternity. As Elder Holland said (summarizing): Heaven is not worth talking about if it doesn't include family. It is so true... it wouldn't be Heaven if we weren't able to be with our family. I love you Grant, Grace and Adam!

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

We sure miss you! Utah just isn't the same without you! We have been having fun though. Most of the snow is melted but we can still find a few piles to play in. Last night, we went to the B's house for Uncle Pete's birthday party. That was fun! He gave us some of his balloons! The other night, we had movie night. We wished that you were here to watch it with us. Papa made popcorn...but it wasn't as good as yours. Well, we know you are busy with work- hopefully that makes it so you don't miss us so much. We hope that these pictures make you happy. If you get sad just look at them and remember how much we love you! We can't wait to see you in a week. Will you take us on a date for Valentine's Day? Well, we love you!
Love,
Grant & Grace
(Oh and mommy, too!)

President Who?

This picture has nothing to do with the post except for the fact that it is of Grant and he is cute...and FUNNY!

I made Grant watch part of the inauguration. Yes, he could have cared less and just wanted to see a parade but he might thank me later on in his life. Anyway, after talking about what we were watching I gave him a quiz:

M: "What are we watching, bug?"

G: "The inaugation!"

M: "That's right! The inauguration of the 44th President of the United States. Who is the 44th President of the United States?"

G:"MMM, ya!"

M: "The 44th President is..."

G: "President Monson!" (That really must be confusing)

M: "No...President..."

G: "Doh doh!" (Okay, I may have thought that but I have never said that. And now that President Obama is leading this country...I give him my full support)

Now if I ask Grant who the President of the United States is, he responds, "Nae Nae!" She may think that and act like that sweetheart but alas- she is not!

Grant the Gymnast & Gracie Girl

We decided that Grant needed something to call his own. I am always so busy hauling him with me to Grace's appointments and therapy that I worry that he will come to resent her or the whole situation. Anyway, I let him choose between swim lessons, gymnastics or soccer. His decision- "gymnastwics" Ooooh, I just want to eat him with a spoon! Here is our big boy on his first day of "nastwics". He didn't love this swing but at least he gave it a try. He really enjoyed climbing and swinging on all of the different equipment. Can I just say that he has the cutest little body!
He was a bit nervous to walk on the balance beam but sitting...that is safe! Overall, he did a great job! He listened to his teacher and followed all of her instructions. Great job, Bug!

Not only is Grant great at gymnastwics but he is also a fantastic big brother. It is hard to believe that Grace is already 6 months old. She is doing so many fun things and especially loves to roll from her back to her tummy. But what she loves most is watching her big brother. She thinks that he is the coolest thing since sliced cheese (Adam corrects me and says, "sliced bread"- ya, ya babe)
Kissy, kissy big bro!
I love my two little friends. Mr Crazy and Miss Chubs definitely keep me laughing!
Grant enjoys holding Gracie for umm, like minus 1 seconds...as you can tell from the picture.
Isn't she the cutest little butterfly?!?!
We are so proud of you Gracie! You are exceeding everyone's expectations!
6 month stats:
