M&M's
Grant and I made a trip to Target (we do that quite often) and I was reminded that he has the 50 mile reach. He was in the basket and I was unloading our items, when all of a sudden I heard a number of tiny objects hit the ground. I looked down and quickly realized they were M&M's. As I looked at Grant I was greeted by a chocolatey smile and a torn bag of M&M's. I think I was in shock- it seriously happened so fast. I constantly glance up to make sure Grant is doing okay but I have learned that I obviously don't do a sufficient job. I guess I need to purchase an extra set of eyes. I should never underestimate the abilities of my son!!!
So much for that idea...
Grant loves ducks, dogs and balls. I have been trying to decide what kind of birthday cake to make him. So one day I decided to enlist his help. I put a dog, duck and ball in front of him and asked what kind of cake he wanted. He looked at me then looked at the items in front of him and then grabbed the duck and dog at the exact same time. He smiled so big as he handed them to me . Thanks for the help, Bug! Does that mean I have to make two cakes or can I combined the two animals and make a "dock"?

He's Off...
Grant is walking everywhere these days. He especially loves to be outside. He goes to the screen door and pounds on it so that we will take him out.
Bug really enjoys picking flowers (much to Mommy's dismay). playing in the dirt and throwing rocks.
Grant is also obsessed with opening and shutting doors. He will walk/run into a room and shut the door on you. When it is really quiet we know that he is probably doing somethig he has been asked not to do. Often times it involves pushing buttons on the fax machine in our room or pulling boxes of mac and cheese off the shelf in his closet (we have realized we have to close the door really tight or else he can pry it open).

Too Funny
Grant is walking everywhere now. Lots of times he acts like he is walking towards you then changes directions. He thinks that he is so funny when he does that. So we decided to teach him a new word..."psyche"...as in psyche out. It is hilarious to hear him say it. He really draws out the 's' so it sounds like "sssssssssike". He definitely keeps us laughing.

Say What?
Grant never ceases to amaze me! The other day while he was eating I ran into the bedroom to grab something. All of a sudden I heard, "Jaci!" I couldn't believe my ears. I thought I was just hearing things. But a few minutes later when I bent down to pick up his spoon...he said it again! I guess he heard a lot of people call me that in UT. He is just too funny!
Also, he has been saying "hi" when you put the phone up to his ear. It has to be when he isn't too busy playing or else he just pushes the phone away. It is so cute to hear him say it. He acts like he is shy when he says it and then just smiles. Grant also enjoys holding his play phone up to his ear and then he hands it to me like someone wants to talk to me. He can play this game over and over again. Wait, he can do that with any game or book or toy!!!!

Hogle Zoo
Grant loves animals so he enjoyed the trip to the zoo. He was even able to see the albino alligator. Adam always corrects me by saying that it isn't technically "albino"; if you want to know why here is a link:http://www.hoglezoo.org/special.events/gotb/
The craziest thing happend while we were there. We ran into Adam's cousin and her daughter Hannah. Grant loves Hannah. As a matter of fact, on Sunday while the blessing on the food was being said, Grant spotted Hannah and took off towards her saying, "Annah, Annah".
It was nice to have all of the Barrow boys together.
We're surprised Grant didn't climb the fence to get closer to the giraffes. Actually, we are more surprised that he is looking at the animals. While we were at the elephant show...he was more interested in the fans on the ceiling than he was in the elephants.
Grandma "Nae Nae" and Grant by the giraffes.
Grant with Uncle Peter. He enjoyed hanging out with all of his uncles.
While waiting to ride the train, Grant explored what was under Grandpa's hat. Or maybe he just thought Grandpa looked better without the hat.
There was a huge spinning marble with water at the zoo and Grant enjoyed playing with it along with Grandma "Nae Nae".
