Halloween

We love Halloween at our house! Grant has enjoyed all of the window stickers, hanging ghosts and pumpkins. Grant is constantly asking to see a "boo" (aka ghost). He also loves to tell me: "Mommy! Bats...in da sky!"
Last Saturday we carved our pumpkins. Grant calls pumpkins "owies" because one scratched him when we bought it and there is no way he is going to call it by its correct name now! He didn't love pulling out the inside of the pumpkin (he's like his daddy) but he sure enjoyed putting stuff in it once it was cleaned out.
Here are the finished products. Grant's puppy has been completed for a while. I saw the idea in Pottery Barn Kids and loved it but was not willing to spend the money. So, a quick trip to Michael's and $1 later...TaDa! Adam chose a Ghostbusters theme and I tried to be creative even though no one ever gets it. Come on people... B plus an arrow = Barrow! Anyway, they got moldy and we had to toss him. So sad!

Jaci, I'll have you know that I figured out the Barrow pumpkin right away! You are so creative! I've had pumpkins on my porch waiting to be carved for almost a month! We really need to get in the Halloween spirit!

Jaci, I confess, I thought it was a really great looking B, but that was about all I could glean from it. I am impressed with the ghostbusters, and the dog is way cute! Plus, you can save it and use it every single year! We skipped the goop this year (none of us really like it!) and painted our pumpkins last night. It was a huge hit.

Clever! I was wondering where the arrow was pointing to. The puppy dog is cute. We made masks for our pumpkins this year, which was an idea I stole from a magazine in the grocery store. I was too cheap to even buy the magazine! Anyway, way fun Halloween celebrations!
