Who needs toys?

We have started to ask ourselves why we ever bought toys for Grant. His favorite thing to do is play with the couch cushions. First thing when he wakes up he asks, "Couch off?"
He and his friend Will had a blast climbing up the cushions then sliding back down or jumping off. Am I a bad mom for letting him do this? Who cares if I am...he has fun!
Here is Grant with his buddy Will.
Grant also loves playing in a pile of pillows on our bed.
Wow! What a great faker- he totally looks like he is really sleeping! :-)
We are pretty sure this little boy cannot get any cuter. Thank goodness the simple things in life make him happy!

Taking Pictures in My Mind...

Last weekend Grant said to me, "I want a tennis racket." So, we went and got him one then headed to the park to play. After all, it was 86 degrees! So here are some pictures of our day at the park. Grant is indeed the "highlight of [our] day" and whenever we hear this song it makes us think of our amazing little bug. Hopefully we will always be able to remember all of the great times. Cue music..."[We're] taking pictures in [our] mind so we can save 'em for a rainy day..."

Basketball or Music Time?

On Tuesday's our ward has a little music class that Grant really enjoys. However, lately he would rather take his basketball and run around the gym. Who can blame him? He was trying to throw the ball to me but obviously I couldn't catch it since I was taking his picture. He was so excited to "Go shoot hoops!"
What a little cheese!

My Prince

Before I put Grant down for bed every night we say goodnight to the picture of Jesus and the temple in his room. Tonight he said, "I wanna see da temple. Muh-o-ni libs der. Toot, be good." I started to say something and was interrupted by Grant saying, "Married. I get married der." I asked him who he was going to marry and he thought for a minute while saying, "Ummm, ummm, ummmm. Marry, ummm....MOMMY!" Then I got a great big hug and kiss! My heart was melting.

Flashback

Last weekend we went up to San Francisco. We took a family picture in the same place that Adam had his picture taken 6.5 years ago with his first companion, Elder Josen.
It is fun to be able to go to the same places Adam went on his mission. Now if we could just buy one of those houses in the background! :-)
