Resemblance?

This morning while I was getting Amelia dressed, I had a flashback of Gracie wearing the same outfit with the same bow.  However, Grace was 6 months old and Amelia is 3 months old!  At one point during the day, I took a few quick pictures to compare the girls.
 Grace @ 6 months

Amelia Jane @ 3 months

Pardon Grace's hair...she had just ripped her bow out.

And we are looking for a smile coach for Grant.  Any takers?  :-)

I {Heart} Grace

I LOVE this little girl and cannot get enough of her. Even though she scratches me, pulls my hair, digs her nails into my face, beats up her baby sister, pesters her brother, and "squawks" at us because she can't verbally communicate and gets frustrated easily...I want to be with her every second of every day. When she goes to bed, I sneak into her room just to stare at her for a while and to be near her. Whenever she holds my hand, my heart leaps. Today as Grace and I walked around the house holding hands I smiled thinking that hopefully she will always want to hold my hand. One day, I will be 70 and she will be 44 and she will still take my hand as we walk through the mall or the grocery store or even through the house. Honestly, I am so lucky.

She can always put a smile on my face--even if she is being naughty (climbing on tables)
or is making a mess (eating coolwhip on the kitchen rug)

She left that star sticker on her face ALL day

And she give the best hugs and kisses.
Grace, I {heart} you!

2 months Old

I can't believe that this little butter bean is now 2 months old! Where does the time go? I love her little personality that is starting to shine through. My favorite thing is all of the chattering she does. It always brightens my day. None of the videos I have taken will upload so cute pictures of her will have to do.
"Don't judge my crazy, old man hair. It's the new look these days."
Amelia's stats:
12 lbs. 10.7 oz
23 inches long
The doctor was impressed with how well she pushes up while on her tummy. Amelia smiled really big when the doctor said, "You are more like a 4 month old!" She was thinking...'I am a rock star and totally act more grown up than I actually am.'
"I know, I know, my cheeks are totally kissable!"

Amelia Jane's Blessing

I apologize for the picture overload but when you have such a good lookin' family, it is hard to choose just a few! :-)
In October, Grandma and Grandpa B. and Uncle Pete came out to visit. We planned on blessing Amelia while they were here but then found out it was Stake Conference. So, we decided to have her blessed at home.

My parents were able to come up from GA for the blessing, too. Adam's aunt and uncle and some friends also joined us.
Adam did a wonderful job on the blessing. Before the blessing, Adam had my dad and his dad say a few words. Grant then informed us that he wanted to say something but once he had everyone's attention he changed his mind. Later on, he expressed to Adam that he had wanted to say, "I know families are forever and I'm glad my sister is part of my family."I thought that was priceless.
Gracie loves Amelia and is constantly wanting to hold her and kiss her.
And Amelia is a good sport and usually welcomes the hugs and kisses.

I cannot wait to see what kind of a relationship these two will have. I can already tell that it will be a special one.
We are so lucky to have Amelia Jane in our family and I too am thankful that families can be together forever!
