"Hey...I put some new shoes on..."

I love that song by the way! Have you heard it? If not you should totally check it out (New Shoes by Paolo Nutini) Anyway, on Sunday I thought I would try my hand at making some shoes for Grace- what do you think? All I know, is Grace can make anything look good. :-)

Time to blog?

I haven't really blogged for a while. I love to blog but the truth is...I don't have time. But here is a quick update on the happenings of the Barrow's. ***DISCLAIMER***This post contains no pix because our computer stinks. Don't feel bad if you don't want to keep reading. The only reason I even look at my own blog is so I can see my cute kids faces! :-)

*Grace is currently having a few procedures done. They are checking for suspected bleeding in her lungs, checking a few things with her heart and taking care of some granulation tissue around her G-tube site. She had an EKG yesterday and it did show some new strain on her heart so hopefully we will be able to know more after today's procedure.

*Grant had a sleep study a few weeks ago and we discovered that he does not have REM sleep. That is kind of important, don't you think? I am amazed at how well he does given his poor sleep! He is being treated for allergies to try to help it. A few days ago we went back to the ENT--which lead me to...

*Grant will have his adenoids out on Tuesday. Hopefully, this will help even more in the sleep department.

*Adam is staying busy now that busy season has officially begun. But he does an awesome job of balancing his responsibilities with work, family and church. We couldn't ask for a better daddy and husband.

*I am staying busy with managing. I'm not gonna lie...I don't love it! Which brings me to the next point...

*We are moving to North Carolina! (I might get my booty kicked for publicly announcing that...jk...Adam honestly NEVER gets mad. I don't know how he does it. ) The date is still up in the air but we are excited! We will actually be able to buy a house!!! Wahoo!

*Lastly, I need to give a public shout out to Kate. Girl! What would we do without you? I am pretty sure I owe you a trillion dollars for all you do for us. Sometimes, I think Grant would rather have you as his mommy! Thanks for always being so willing to watch him. He loves spending time with his princess, Hadlie. Can you guys come to NC with us?

Parent's New House

Grant has loved running around my parents house. He said to me, "Dad needs to get a new job and buy a big building for us. Then we will pick NaeNae up from the airport and she will see my room and say, 'This is humongous!'" The house has been great for hide and go seek and Grant has especially loved playing with his new friend, Pate. Who might I add, has THE cutest little accent! We will miss chasing rabbits in the dark, catching frogs by the pool and on the front porch, puddle jumping on our walks past the numerous lakes in the neighborhood, "golfing" on the putting range next to the garage, watching hawks fly through the sky, searching for golf ball on the golf course behind the house, and many, many more fun things!
Grant loved sitting on the bench on the front porch. We spotted a few frogs and had fun catching them.

Fun little putting range next to the garage
Adam's beloved hoop, the garage and house
Back/side view of the house and pool
View of backyard area walking out the side door. Their property goes through all of the trees down to the golf course.

Grant loves the closet...it is big enough to put a little table and chairs in it and he also enjoys trying to "lock" his sister in it.
Grant's room (yes, it is a mess but that is just because he has had a blast playing in there)
Mommy, daddy, and Gracie's room
Upstairs family room

Huge jetted tub that I LOVE!!! I will miss you dear friend...oh, and I will miss you too, mom and dad. :-)

Summer in Georgia?

Visiting NaeNae and Pah-pee in their new house in GA has been loads of fun! It has been pretty warm here. Today it was around 70 but with 94% humidity! It has been pretty rainy but not too rainy to play outside and have loads of fun!! The other day, Grant took off all of his clothes and took a swim in the pool. Let me just say the water was FREEZING! (As you can see in this picture...I was about to die and Grant thought I was being so funny). NaeNae was a good sport though and stayed in the water a lot longer than I could handle it. Daddy hung out with Gracie on the chair and Pah-pee power washed the playhouse. As you can see, we've been having a blast...more pictures will come soon!

Gracie's Newest "Bling"

I have to admit that I don't love the glasses...BUT I do LOVE that she can see the world! When she put them on, her eyes got really big and she got a huge smile on her face and scanned the room. She hasn't even really tried to get them off (knock on wood). It is a good thing she is so stinkin' cute because it makes it easy for her to pull off anything.
In this picture she was signing baby. She has been signing so much and loves to do the actions to Itsy Bitsy Spider and Patty Cake. Grace is such a fun girl!
