So how much would you pay for this Belle cake?

If you are a 2 year old boy, this beauty is priceless. (He's goin' in for a kiss)

That's right folks, we went to a Young Women's fundraiser Saturday. They auctioned off desserts to raise money to go to girls camp. Well, we started the bidding at $5.00 and mommy ended it at $37.00- much to daddy's dismay. He was a good sport though. The blasted Kuhnen's kept outbidding us. But no worries, their 2 year old son ended up with a Sleeping Beauty cake. Adam was a little concerned that his Grant wanted a Belle cake. Bug was super excited and has been thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks daddy! You probably won't ever take mommy to an auction again, eh?!?!

Of course, Grant has been building forts. He LOVES to build them and he really enjoys just hanging out with Grace in them. They can sit in a fort together for 30 minutes plus! Grace is a pretty good sport and Grant is great to include her.

Pardon their crazy hair...it was still early in the morning :-)

And here is my big boy on his first day of preschool. (Wipe a tear) Now let me just say that I have never wanted to send Grant to preschool and I am having a REALLY hard time with it. We have been doing 'Mommy Preschool' and love it! I am just not ready to have my baby be away from me for 3 hours (1 day a week) and I also have a really, really, really hard time justifying spending money for someone to teach Grant something I can teach him with even more attention. (Sorry for the ranting...back to the story). No wait, I am not done...please keep in mind that preschool in our area is NOT cheap! Anyway, why is he in preschool? Well, Gracie starts group on Thursday and it is the one therapy that I will not be able to take Grant to. The center where Grace receives therapy has a preschool so they encouraged me to put Grant in for 1 day a week, during the time Grace and I are in group. Grant had a trial run on Tuesday and seemed to like it so we will see.

Gracie kept telling me, "Yay for Grant! Yay for Grace! Yay for group!"

"More mommy?" (Good signing butterfly)

She needs to come teach Jax some of those signs. That is so funny with the cake, I can totally picture all these little boys trying to get princess cakes.
I bet Grant is a great babysitter and keeps Grace entertained.
such cute pictures! Gracie is getting so big! Good luck with the preschool. I feel the same way. My Corbin and I were doing "mommy preschool" also, but he is starting actual preschool in the fall just for the social benefits. I cry sending him to primary, so this is going to be an adjustment for me.
I think I was a bad mommy...I couldn't wait for my kids to start preschool!!!! I am interested in this group thing that Grace is going to. What is it? What state are you in? I am in CA and haven't heard anything about it. Cute pics!!
Cute Pics. Lybbi said she loves the Belle cake.
She is so darn cute I can't stand it! Grant is awesome, and by the way Adam, OF COURSE he wanted a Belle cake, she is the most beautiful of all the princesses. Haha, my sister-in-law played Belle on stage at Disney World for 18 months so I'm a little partial to her.
I love your kids! Thanks for all the updates.
I love the nicknames..."bug" and "butterfly!" Cute kids!
I am dying about her signing (and her cute outfit)!!!! I'm with you all the way on the preschool thing. He'll have fun though...and probably teach the teacher a thing or two. I can't wait until he tells her to move her "big bum"!
Eeee, can I have her?! That little Gracie is so darling! I can't believe she can sign. What a smarty pants. I know, I still can't let go of David for preschool yet either. I love my time with him. Wish you were here so you could do preschool with me. You could just send Grant to my house once a week! Your kids are super cute. I LOVED the Belle cake story. Haha! I'm sure David would be thrilled to have a princess cake.
SUPER CUTE! It's been a long time since I've been able to check blogs! I love seeing your family! :) Hope all is well!
oh my heck she dressed 10 times better then i do! and what shoes are those that she has on? i Love that grant is always making forts for her to play in, he's a true boy and she's a trooper! pretty soon she'll have stuffed animals and purses that need to all have room in the fort. hahah!
