Halloween
We love Halloween at our house! Grant has enjoyed all of the window stickers, hanging ghosts and pumpkins. Grant is constantly asking to see a "boo" (aka ghost). He also loves to tell me: "Mommy! Bats...in da sky!"
Last Saturday we carved our pumpkins. Grant calls pumpkins "owies" because one scratched him when we bought it and there is no way he is going to call it by its correct name now! He didn't love pulling out the inside of the pumpkin (he's like his daddy) but he sure enjoyed putting stuff in it once it was cleaned out.
Here are the finished products. Grant's puppy has been completed for a while. I saw the idea in Pottery Barn Kids and loved it but was not willing to spend the money. So, a quick trip to Michael's and $1 later...TaDa! Adam chose a Ghostbusters theme and I tried to be creative even though no one ever gets it. Come on people... B plus an arrow = Barrow! Anyway, they got moldy and we had to toss him. So sad!

A Day in the City
We took Naenae and Papa (Grant calls him Pots) up to San Francisco one of the days they were here. They had never been to Fort Point Cove right under the bridge. The fort dates back to Civil war times. It is pretty amazing and has a sweet view from the top.
Grant loved the suegees (translation: seagulls) the most. He also liked climbing on everything.
Especially the canon balls (ya, he probably shouldn't have been touching those but when he bats those blue eyes he can get away with anything).
Bug was enthralled with watching the "kite" (aka the person para sailing). It looked like so much fun!
What else did Grant love? Watching the sea lions. He loves to imitate them and does a pretty good job.
Mr. Independent here looking at the sea lions.
He probably could have stayed there all day long. But if he would have done that he would have missed the sports store and oh how he loves that place! He convinced Naenae and Pots to buy him a Red Sox bat, ball and mitt.
We always get a kick out of the museum on the pier that has a bunch of old arcade games. Grant had fun riding the horse despite the fact that it looks like his eyes are rolling back into his head. Giddy-up!Go Cardinals!
While Naenae and Papa were here, we did tons of fun stuff. One of the highlights was the Stanford vs. TCU game. Unfortunately, Stanford lost. It was fun to get decked out in Stanford gear and cheer our local team on. Don't worry, we are still true blue fans!
Grant enjoyed yelling ball and thoroughly enjoyed mommy's hot dog. He was a good sport and we will definitely go again.
Back in Business
Wahoo! We are back in business here at that Barrow household. Can I just say that prayers are answered. Maybe it is silly to pray for a computer to work but I pray over pretty much everything. No, not what shirt to wear in the morning...just what shoes. JK Seriously though, I am so thankful that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers. I am amazed everyday at how blessed my family is. Anyway, it's great to be back! And Katie, I will get right on the game of tag (as soon as I think of what to say). :-)

Grant quickly discovered that eating chocolate out of the bowl was much more tasty.
No time for spoons!
Yup, that was pretty good. But wait, I think he might need some more.
It's always a good day when chocolate is involved.
