Memorial Day

We were able to take a nice Sunday drive up to the Golden Gate National Cemetery. It was amazing!

It looked beautiful with all of the flags placed in front of the headstones. It was a solemn, inspiring experience.

Grant enjoyed looking at the flags and wanted to take one home but to his dismay we did not allow it. He also enjoyed smelling some of the flowers.

At the cemetery, a majority of the headstones have a cross on them. There were also some headstones with the Star of David and others with Angel Moroni. It was neat to see that. If you look closely you can see it in this picture.

We hope that as Grant gets older he will understand the importance of those who have lived before us and of those who have risked their lives for our freedom and many others.

It brings so much peace to know that we will be a family forever. Walking through the cemetery amongst all of the headstones truly made us count our blessings and thank Heavenly Father for restoring the gospel in these latter days.

Happy Memorial Day
